technically today was a monday but i've lost count numbering my days. it all feels very much the same nowadays. mondays to tuesdays, tuesday to wednesday thursday.

i had a lot of people over at my place today. f2 leaders were here, b zone leaders after them and then a gang of 10 random people. in fact i was out having supper with that 10 and it was really quite cool.

first and foremost, mutton soup tasted great. murtabak was a-okay. tau-hu goreng was just right. we had satay and drinks and all and as if it wasn't good enough we crossed the road for tau huay. hahhs... this isn't a regular monday i assure you. however it just felt right being a little bit uncontemporary tonight.

so i got home and there was more food ready for us. neither i nor elgin had a go at them. we left it there and in fact, i think i better go eat a little bit of that before i sleep for fear my daddy kills me tomorrow.

this week is going to be a little bit different. school has started, many things have gone by and many awaits us.

for those of us who look back and wonder if we made the mark, we can jolly well be secure and look forward and push the ceiling higher. well for those of us who look back in joy, we know we had conquer another year and we're so much more a conqueror and warrior than last year. and for us who look back and grinch, the future is amazing. 2009 will be amazing with you.

i stood in the front row listening to every bit of what Pastor Lia shared last weekend and it dawned upon me that i belong to a great church. not as if i did not realize it earlier but it was just right and sweet to remember the goodness of God in our lives.

Pastor mentioned that 2009 will be a challenging year for us, in many sense and we need to gird ourselves up in faith. 2009 is also a challenging year for the world around us. it's just difficult.

but in hoGc, i think it is going to be different. With great people at the helm and a God who is with us, i believe we can reverse the odds. We have always been a church that steps into the purpose and move of God. We never misses it. We are always there, there's such precision and faith and purpose. When Pastor Lia mentioned all those, there was such a faith that invoked something in my heart.

It's more than just plain idealism and rar-rar-ness to captivate a bunch of youths. This 09 is about substance and to reemphasize and refocus and rewhatsoever you call that the values and ethos of our church was just so amazing. Wow... we belong to a great church with great Pastors. I believe i will look back in 2010 and in similiar fashion boast of the greatness of God in 09 like i'm doing now about 08. Heart of God Church is a miracle church & to have grown up being in this environment, sometimes i fail to see how amazing and huge a miracle week in week out heart of God church is. But well, today i see...

shock, fright, fear, anxiety, happiness, joy, peace, exuberance and whatever the emotion, Pastor Lia said that 2009 will be amazing. It will be and it will be and it will be.
