my life Ivan 'Vern' Poh from URL @ 1:51 PM i had half a day off today and i slept in. it is one of those amazing times of the year. haha... so then i woke up and reported in camp and here i am after reading and lunch and just trying to get back from after lunch lethargy. today is and will continue to be a good day. yesterday was very surprising because of that army retreat thing that i went for. alright, it was largely because of work that i had to be there but i didn't do much in the end. just helped out by running the event and had some fun with the old soldiers. i can't begin to tell you how funny these people are. in their late 30s and 40s these guys are really still quite youthful on the inside. all those jokes that we tell alot amongst ourselves in church, they do tell them too and it was funny listening to them. mainly, because they are so old and they could say such juvenile funny jokes. well, it was a good experience as well hanging around those people. i mean it was 8am when i got there and i did not know what to expect. then all those high flyers came and i remember Pst saying we got to be confident. So i tried hahaha... In church it is easy to be confident. I mean, you know what i mean... haha but out there it's different. So then, it was a great day. Everyone was kind and very friendly & i got to know alot of people. The culture shock and all were quite cute but then it's still all very good. So it was a day where many doors opened and i had to seize it. I had 2 things i got out of that and i'm going to navigate my way to get them. It is going to be cool. Some of those funny things we did were like i've mentioned very funny. 1) Movie Screening My Indian CSM was being made fun of by another Indian warrant. He said he could not be seen in the dark. Then a jabbing war started and he jabbed him back saying he's indian too. Well my language is nicer here so i don't get into trouble. But it was hilarious. It's like Sean and Ernest. 2) Laser Quest Hahhs it's quite cool to see warrant officers snatching opponent's guns and shooting them at close range. It was a huge messy struggle and very noisy. Super funny. And anyway the young nsf officers trashed the old timers. haha it was funny. warrant kalimutu was very proud that he got negative scores. he boasted about his heroics in snatching guns. crap but funny. 3) Pay it forward Liet Col got us to watch this movie and it was great. I am going to watch it again and get people to watch it. It's very relevant for us christians serving God in hoGc at such a fast pace. It is good. I watched it and was so moved. Let's pay it forward. so then i had a tiring day and i went home and missed 2 stops haha got home and was so tired that i decided to pray and get into the presence. that's something that we all should do. strength comes back and all and in about 15 minutes my mind was working and i slept at 3am. got to read the bible more and pray more. let's be spiritual!!! went for a run and you get sharp spiritually and physically. that's life. it is sweet and very good. i love my life.
